Shot on an antique 1943 Keystone Criterion 16mm camera, Crimes and Blooms is Douglas Joyman first song of his upcoming EP. Shot in the New York City streets, the film follows a lost man chasing his love in a dream-like journey. Alternating black and white and color sequences and recreating scenes from French New Waves films such as Band a part (1964) and Breathless (1960), the film portrays a man eternally lost in a romantic world between New York city and the Paris of his dreams.
